I rarely have to turn on a light switch in my house anymore because it is that tuned to be automated with sensors, etc. Most people say their home is full of automation but its really full of control options. C4 really shines not just as a 1 app solution but a true automated system.everything you mentioned can easily be done in c4.The Nest Thermostat may have some value but the rest, eh. its minimal stuff and can easily be replaced. I am in the minority on this forum who would say look at C4 but know your limits and options: There are DIY solutions too but that may mean more tinkering for you, less 3rd party hardware options, etc. Depends how much automation you want vs control to say if its "worth it". Other forums will tell you yes go for it (like ). This forum will likely tell you no and its a heavy DIY forum. How much should all this cost as a target price? Since I bought my place 5 years ago a lot has changed, Alexa, Google Home, Homekit etc, is a Control 4 System worth the effort and cost in 2020?
